Frequently Asked Questions

Where should we start if we have just got engaged?

With the venue. It sets your date, your guest count, and a large share of the budget, so most other decisions follow from it. The guide on how to find a Boston wedding venue walks through it.

How far ahead should we book vendors in Boston?

Twelve to eighteen months for peak season, which runs May through October. Photographers, venues and bands go first, and popular Saturdays go earliest of all.

How long should our wedding photography coverage be?

Most Boston weddings need about eight hours to cover prep through the dance floor. Split getting-ready locations or a large guest list can push that higher.

Do these guides cover venues outside Boston?

Yes. They cover the North Shore, Cape Cod, Rhode Island and the wider New England area, not just the city itself.

Can you recommend vendors?

Yes. There is a page of vendors I have worked alongside for years, and if you tell me your venue and date I can point you toward others.
