It’s a documentary edit of your Glen Magna day filmed from one roaming camera, your ceremony, toasts, and key moments captured in long, honest takes rather than quick cuts. You get the real arc of the day: the vows in the gardens, the speeches, the first dance, edited into a film you’ll actually rewatch. No staged re-dos, no interrupting the moment.
Documentary and unobtrusive. I film the day as it unfolds, candid, available light wherever possible, the same observational approach I bring to photography. At a setting like Glen Magna, with its formal gardens and historic mansion, that means letting the place and your people carry the story instead of posing you for the camera.
Yes, hybrid photo and video is what I do best. One integrated team plans your Glen Magna coverage together from the start, so the photographer and the camera aren’t fighting for the same spot. You get a consistent look across both and one vendor to coordinate with instead of two.
Yes. The ceremony and the toasts are the heart of the film, so they’re covered start to finish with clean audio. Whether your ceremony is in the gardens or under a tent, I capture the full vows and every speech, not just highlight snippets.
No. I work quietly and stay at the edges, no bright lights or bulky rigs during your ceremony, and I shoot in a way guests barely notice. The documentary approach depends on the day feeling natural, so blending in is the whole point.
With redundant audio. I put a discreet lavalier on the officiant and run a separate recorder at the ceremony, plus capture from the camera, so an outdoor garden ceremony with a little wind still gives you clear vows. For toasts I pull from the DJ or PA feed with a backup mic so nothing important is lost.
You’ll get a sneak peek shortly after the wedding, with the full edited film following in the weeks after. I give you the exact timeline in writing when we book, so there are no surprises.
Reach out with your date and we’ll confirm availability, then a signed agreement and a retainer hold your day. I take a limited number of weddings each season, so Glen Magna dates in the popular months tend to go early.
Rarely, because I anticipate the moments and position for them ahead of time. On busier weddings a second shooter covers the opposite angle, so if a guest steps into one frame, the moment is still captured from another, one reason two-person coverage is worth it for the big moments.
Yes. The single-camera film is the base; you can add a second camera for fuller ceremony and speech coverage, or a longer documentary edit that includes more of the day. We’ll talk through what fits your wedding when we plan your coverage.
The deliverable is the finished, edited film, what almost every couple actually wants. Raw footage can be arranged on request; just ask when we book and we’ll include it in your agreement.
Yes. I carry liability insurance and can provide a certificate of insurance for Glen Magna Farms or any venue that requests one. Let me know your coordinator needs it and I’ll send it over.
Glen Magna’s formal gardens and historic grounds give you plenty of options, the manicured garden parterres and the estate’s classic architecture make elegant backdrops for portraits and film, the open lawns are ideal for golden-hour footage, and the quiet garden paths are perfect for candid moments away from the crowd.
The grand staircase is dramatic and elegant.
