The Tupper Manor weddings I have photographed over the years have been some of my favorite weddings. There are several wedding venues north of Boston, but none of them come close to the service that Tupper Manor offers to their clients. It is an elegant estate venue nestled along the coast of Beverly MA. Tupper Manor was built in 1901 for the Bryce Allan Family. In 1943 Endicott College purchased the estate, and recently turned it into one of the most sought after waterfront wedding venues.
Kristin and her bridesmaids spent the morning getting ready at the The Wylie Inn which is conveniently next to Tupper Manor. Kristin chose to work with Niki Kelman for her make up and Amanda Croce to style her hair. Alex and his groomsmen also suited up in a suit designed by Alton Lane at the Inn. Then headed over to the venue for a few games of pool before the ceremony, in the billiards room.
Kristin and Alex choose to have a first look. The foyers' high ceilings, marble floors, and double french doors made for a perfect location for them to see each other for the first time. I placed Alex in the middle of the room lining him up in the center of the double french doors. Kristin walked down the large spiral staircase in a Cristiano Lucci wedding dress and the couple exchanged compliments. After the first look we stepped in outside for a few family photos and a couple relaxed portraits of Kristen and Alex.
As guests walked into the foyer and through the large double french doors in the ballroom they were greeted by groomsmen and the sounds of a string quartet called the DC Project. Once everyone took a seat in gold Chiavari chairs for the 5pm wedding ceremony. One by one Alex and his groomsmen walked into the ballroom. Kristin was escorted down the aisle by her father. The couple had a short ceremony and were married by a close friend. Readers were read by a family friend of Kristins.
After the ceremony the newlyweds had a short traditional tea ceremony in the Billiards room. Once the tea ceremony was completed Kristin and Alex enjoyed sipping on their signature cocktails and started their wedding celebration with their friend and family. During cocktail hour guests were able to grab a drink from the bar which was located in the Library and Oval Room and then explore the grounds of Tupper Manor. In the foyer guests found their table name on custom table cards attached to a key. The table cards were created by Yennygram. Tables were named after places that Alex and Kristin have traveled to.
Alex and Krstin were introduced and had their first dance at 7:10. Guests were asked to find their tables in the conservatory. Once everyone was seated the Tupper Manor catering service brought out salads. At this time a few toast by the best man and maid of honour. Once dinner was completed Kristin shared a dance with her father and Alex danced with his mother. The DC Project Band kicked the evening off with a high energy opening song and kept the party going late into the night.
