Keith and Lydia’s wedding at Tupper Manor in Beverly, MA, was a celebration full of heartfelt moments, laughter, and a bit of mischief. As a Boston Wedding Photographer, it was a privilege to document their story in such a unique and charming setting. The couple chose Tupper Manor for its unique combination of historic charm and serene coastal views—a setting that perfectly matched their vision of an elegant yet relaxed wedding day.
Getting Ready
The day kicked off at the Wylie Inn and Tupper Manor. Lydia prepared in the bridal suite while Keith suited up at the Wylie Inn and played pool in the billiards room before the ceremony began with his groomsmen. Lauren Costa of Lauren C Beauty worked her magic with hair and makeup, ensuring Lydia looked effortless and radiant. Keith’s attire came courtesy of Marry & Tux Bridal.
First Look
The first look happened behind Tupper Manor— on the picturesque grounds. With the autumn leaves providing a warm backdrop, Keith’s reaction to seeing Lydia for the first time was a moment worth savoring (and photographing). The couple’s choice to see each other before the ceremony also meant we could capture all the formal portraits ahead of time, giving them more time to enjoy their cocktail hour later.
Wedding Ceremony at Tupper Manor
Set on Tupper Manor’s manicured lawn, one of Keith’s lifelong friends officiated the ceremony, who added humor and heart to the proceedings. Lydia’s grandparents, Sydney and Norman, delivered a reading that reflected their 71 years of marriage—a perspective you can’t fake. Their advice? Laugh often, respect each other, and be kind. Simple but powerful. The couple wrote their vows together, blending humor and sincerity. Lydia promised to attend their annual financial planning meetings… unless she was busy, while Keith vowed to honor their similarities and differences. They delivered their promises with tears and laughter that perfectly summed up their dynamic.
Reception
Post-ceremony, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour followed by dinner and dancing in Tupper Manor’s stately ballroom. Evans Flowers created stunning floral arrangements that added just the right touch of elegance. DJ Paul Granata from C-Zone Entertainment kept the party going with a playlist that had everyone—from grandparents to toddlers—on their feet. During the reception, Lydia’s dad delivered a heartfelt toast, reading from a letter he’d written to her on the plane years ago. In the letter, he reminisced about her milestones, shared anecdotes from her childhood, and reflected on the person she had become—a woman he admired deeply. He also recalled writing dozens of letters to her over the years, creating a time capsule of her life and milestones. The final letter, shared on her wedding day, captured his pride and joy as she began this new chapter with Keith. It was a deeply personal moment that brought laughter, tears, and a sense of connection to everyone in the room.Guests also heard from Keith’s best friend, who officiated the ceremony, and Sydney and Norman’s humorous and heartfelt advice—“Marriage isn’t 50/50, it’s 100/100.” These moments brought depth and personality to an already unforgettable evening.
