The Barn at Gibbet Hill was accidentally formed when it rained on a wedding that was supposedly outdoors way back in 2002. The barn was not yet renovated and they just moved the hay bales with the farm's tractor to make the makeshift wedding aisle. After that event, they decided to renovate the barn, making it one of the best barn venues in the state.

Couples can get ready at the Groton Inn that is conveniently located down the street. The barn offers a scenic view of Groton, Massachusetts at the foot of the Gibbet Hill.

During the warmer months of the year couples can have their wedding ceremony in the grassy field next to the barn.
