I met Zachary in 2017 at a wedding in Beverly, Massachusetts. He was filming, I was photographing, and we spent the whole day working around each other without once getting in the way. We have worked together ever since.

Originally from Vietnam, Zachary moved to Boston to study business at Northeastern University, but quickly found himself drawn to visual storytelling over spreadsheets. He works the way I work, calm, observant, unobtrusive, and his pictures blend documentary storytelling with editorial portraiture, capturing the in-between glances, the unscripted laughter, and the things that happen when no one is looking.

He shoots and films, which is rarer than it sounds. He is at ease weaving audio and video into a full ceremony record, and on the photography side he gives clear, confident direction during portraits, so couples who dread being photographed settle down within a few minutes.

When he is not documenting weddings across New England, Zachary spends his winters traveling through Asia.
